Shop Skills: Lathe 2 - Bowl Turning

Shape, hollow, and finish your own wooden bowl (Intermediate Workshop)

125 Canadian dollars
Makerspace YK

Service Description

This is not a beginner workshop. Participants should have prior experience using a lathe or have taken the pen turning workshop. Learn the art of woodturning in this hands-on bowl turning workshop! Using a wood lathe, you'll shape, hollow, and finish your very own wooden bowl, approximately 4 to 6 inches in diameter. This is a 2-to-1 workshop, meaning each participant will receive close, personalized instruction — a great opportunity to build your skills quickly and confidently. All materials are provided. Because of the small group format, the cost is slightly higher than our usual workshops, but you’ll benefit from focused, one-on-one attention. Previous lathe experience is required. Guest Instructor: Graeme Shaw
