Program Coordinator
Full-time (37.5 hours per week). Flexible work arrangements may be negotiated.
Are you a multi-tasker and good with people? Makerspace YK is seeking a competent Program Coordinator. The successful candidate will work with MSYK staff, our community partners and members of the public to support planning, organizing and overseeing activities and events taking place in the MSYK Artspace, Hackspace, and Shopspace.
MSYK is a dynamic, vibrant workplace and a creative hub where diverse community members and community groups convene. The ideal Program Coordinator will have excellent interpersonal skills, cross-cultural awareness, and administrative competencies. The role will involve multi-tasking, time management, planning, budgeting, reporting, and community outreach to support the delivery of workshops, events and programs at Makerspace YK.

Contract Sewing Instructor
Flexible contract from 2-10 hours per month as negotiated.
Hourly rate from $40.00 - $75.00 depending on experience.
Do you have experience with sewing and mending? We are seeking contract sewing instructors at MSYK!

The sewing instructor will design and deliver "Intro to Sewing" workshops and help people get oriented with the sewing equipment at Makerspace YK. Depending on the capacity and interest of the candidate, we may also introduce intermediate and other project-based sewing/mending workshops.
​
Experience with domestic and industrial sewing machines and sergers required. Experience with a Furrier machine is a plus!
