Intro to Laser Cutting and Engraving

Service Description

In this 2 hour workshop, participants will be guided through the design and manufacturing process using our Epilog CO2 laser systems to create a set of personalized coasters. We will cover the basics of using Inkscape, a free open-source vector graphic editor to generate our designs. With our designs created we will then move to the Epilog dashboard to prepare the files for laser cutting and engraving. No previous experience is necessary and all equipment and materials will be provided. Completion of this workshop grants access to the Hackspace lasers during member and drop-in times.
