Service Description

So you've learned how to use a sewing machine, now what's next? Join us for a hands-on, three-part beginner sewing mini-course where you will get to design and make a custom-fit pair of drawstring pants. Improve your sewing skills and learn basic pattern drafting skills so you can make clothes that fit you perfectly! Class 1: Drafting Basics & Fabric Overview In the first session, you'll dive into the foundations of pattern drafting. Learn how to take measurements and draft a simple pattern for drawstring pants with pockets. You'll need to purchase fabric for the second class, so we'll review fabric types, selection, and preparation so that you're set up for success! Class 2: Pant Assembly Part 1 In the second session, it's time to start putting it all together! Bring your prepped fabric to begin laying out your pattern pieces, cutting them out and then sewing! Class 3: Assembly Part 2 & Final Tweaks In the final session, you'll complete the assembly of your drawstring pants and make any necessary adjustments. We’ll cover finishing techniques, hemming, and troubleshooting common sewing challenges. By the end of this class, you'll walk away with new sewing skills and a completed pair of custom pants! Each class is 3 hours long, giving you plenty of time to practice and perfect your skills. Come learn, create, and have fun! Participants must know how to use a sewing machine for this course.
