Service Description

Have you already finished the Beginner Woodshop Orientation and been waiting to get that second stamp and use the bigger tools? The time's finally arrived! Join us for the Intermediate Shop Orientation to review the use of the larger fixed tools in the wood shop. We'll cover the integrated dust collection system, individual tool safety requirements, and tool specific standard operating procedures. Tools you will learn about include: the dust collection system, bandsaw, table saw, scroll saw, jointer, planer, compound mitre saw, sanders and the drill press. After completing this second orientation you will be able to use the full woodshop during drop-in hour sessions. Beginner shop orientation experience is required! Participants are required to have shop appropriate clothing (close fitting, no hanging jewelry) and closed toe footwear. Hearing protection and safety glasses are available to lend.
